Redwood - No other softwood has the rich beauty or long-lasting performance of redwood. Redwood is less likely to warp, split, cup or check than other wood. With redwood you get both natural beauty and quality performance. Redwood panels come in 2"x8" sizes and are kiln dried. Individual boards are edge laminated to create any custom panel size for a sign. Redwood along with it's exterior durability is known for it's deep red color.
Cedar - With all of the advances in technologies nobody has been able to duplicate cedars unique characteristics and performance capabilities. Cedar panels come in 2"x8" sizes and are kiln dried. individual boards are edge laminated to create any custom panel size for a sign. Cedar has many of the same characteristics as Redwood but the color of the wood is lighter and has a brown tone.
High Density Urethane -Urethane is very versatile and has a proven track record. HDU panels are 1-1/2" thick and available in sheet sizes of 48"x96" or smaller. This material can be routed to any design giving it tremendous versatility. It is a soft material and can chip easily when impacted. When the HDU material is exposed, it is susceptible to UV rays and weather which may cause it to deteriorate quickly.
Extira -Most easily described as a wood composite sheet material. Extira comes from the MDF (medium density fibreboard) family but unlike MDF Extira is manufactured for the outdoors by using phenolic resins to bond the the wood particles together. Extira offers amazing resistance to moisture, rot and termites. Extira sandblasts with a pebbled textured background similar to HDU with slightly larger pebbles. Extira panels are 1-1/4" thick and available in sheet sizes of 48"x96" or smaller.
